I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles.....
I rolled a priest back in 2005 and the 1st 4 years Evlyxx was primarily a Holy priest. Shadow was my occasional "off-spec" and Discipline was this nasty kind of PVP spec that never appealed as it was neither healing nor DPS. It filled this strange place.
I knew a few priests that dabbled and then returned Holy and that was how it went. Then along came Wrath, Discipline was the revised and became a viable healing alternative spec. I stayed Holy, I liked Holy, Holy was priest healing spec. Then Blizzard did something that tempted me to try Discpline, they gave us dual specs, sure I could have gone shadow but there was this new thing I could test in raids and still heal.

Gone Fishing........
Outside of raiding and my daily heroic for my valor points, this week has been mostly focused on fishing. The reason? Seafood Magnifique Feast, the reward for the guild achievement, That's A Lot Of Bait, which requires the guild to catch 10,000 from pools.
This had been a soft goal of mine since Cataclysm launch and I had half expected that the guys and girls of Saturday Knight Fever may have achieved this without actually anyone trying. After 2 months of the expansion a combination of the new "fun fishing" Blizzard promised at BlizzCon 2009 not materializing and the fact that most (if not all) caster food is fished from open water rather than pools meant that we were not even half way through.

Patch 4.0.6 is here!
Just a real quick link to the official patch notes as hosted by MMO-Champion.
Their post specifies only US realms but no mention is made of us EU folks having to wait an extra week.
Key points:
- Your class has changed, read your notes;
- Some glyphs have changed, check yours;
- A few UI changes have happened, update your addons;
- Heroics have been tweaked (that is many nerfs and a few buffs);
- Flasks need less mats;
- Justice Points can be traded for ore/leather/herbs;
- "Many bugs, handled them" I love that line;
Looking For A Raiding Guild
Time for another visit to the way back when machine. All the way to July 2006
The guys at Soul of the Fire were great, they let me join their off night raids for the next few weeks which meant a quick blitz through Molten Core followed by a Zul'Gurub run sometimes I would miss the Zul'Gurub run if they started there as my schedule meant that I couldn't start raiding until 2000 GMT (2100 server) and their raids started at 1830 GMT (1930 server).
A few pieces of epic loot and some of the "epic" blues that dropped in Zul'Gurub slowly started drifting my way and the Soul of the Fire guys also must of had some confidence in me as a few times I got asked to join their Blackwing Lair progression runs as they were a few people short, no chance of any loot as their guys were still gearing up but the experience was good enough for me. I have always enjoyed raiding for the challenge of killing the boss mobs, sure the loot gained on the way is nice and at some points necessary to achieve the ultimate goal of killing said boss mobs.

Relearning Mana Management...again
Just go my first really detailed look at the list of changes for the next patch and what a lot of changes there are. One thing is for sure, we're going to have to relearn how to manage our mana all over again just as we did when 4.0.3 and Cataclysm came.
The list of changes doesn't just affect us priests though, all of our friends are getting the same treatment too. Did Blizz get it wrong? Did those beta testers actually do any testing? Well I think the answers there are no and yes but still the changes coming in are really needed but were probably not going to get pickedup on a small scale test as Blizz perform in-house (small is relative here their testing team is nothing compared to 12 million players) and the beta testers were testing so many things that were ever changing that somethings were miss diagnosed or just not discovered.

Saturday Knight Fever want you!
As you'll see from the WoWProgress info, we're not cutting edge we're casual and if you're looking for progresion raiding we're not for you. We like to consider ourselves as a casual guild that raids rather than a raiding guild. That said, when we raid we still respect the content and prepare just like a proper raiding guild would expecting people to use flasks, food buffs, gems and enchants.
Still interested? You want more information?
- We are EU based;
- We are on the Shadowsong realm;
- We raid 3 times a week on Thursday, Monday and Tuesday;
- We raid between the hours of 20:00 and 23:00 CET (thats 19:00 to 22:00 GMT);
- We have fun while raiding;
- We are a mature guild (21+);
- We are a long established guild (6 years old in February);
- We have fun when not raiding;
- If you don't want to raid but still are interested you can join too!

Into the Twilight Zone
Ours but to do & die, into the Bastion of Twilight rode the Saturday Knight Fever, dragon to right of them, dragon to left of them, dragon in front of them, volleyed & thundered; storm'd at with shot and shell, boldly we rode and well, into the jaws of Death, into the mouth of Hell, we had fought so well, came thro' the jaws of Death, back from the mouth of Hell, all that was left of us.
